In any competition there are considerable costs incurred in bringing together the panel of judges and competitiors to different venues in the Central and Eastern European region. We are therefore very grateful to our sponsors who help to ensure the success of the competition each year by providing us with the necessary financial or practical assistance.
University of Cambridge - CELS
The CEEMC has always had a strong link with the Centre for European Legal Studies of the Law Faculty, University of Cambridge, over the years its Directors have both assisted in the preparation of the competition question as well as forming part of the CEEMC judicial panel. CELS Directors involved with the CEEMC have included Prof W. R. Cornish, Prof. Catherine Barnard, Dr Nathalie Prouvez and Dr Angela Ward.
Each year members of the winning team visit the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge as part of its prize when they have the opportunity to live in a Cambridge colleges, attend introductory lectures, use the library and other facilties and then also visit the Courts of Justice in London. During their stay they are also hosted at dinners/ lunches by members of the faculty who also join us as visiting lecturers on BLC courses.
