At Warsaw, the course is taught over two semesters. We structure the timetable so that in each week, you will have either lectures or classes, but not both. Across the whole academic year, you will receive:

• "Lecture Weeks" (14 weeks): In each lecture week, a lecture takes place Monday to Friday at 18:30–20:00 in Sala A2 (Collegium Iuridicum II).

• "Class Weeks" (14 weeks): There are two types of small-group meetings: "tutorials" and "seminars" (collectively referred to as "classes"). Both types of class last for 90 minutes. In each Class Week, you will have one seminar and one tutorial (3 hours of classes total per Class Week).

In each Class Week, we teach you how to practically apply the law discussed in lectures the week before. This is part of the BLC's "learning-by-doing" philosophy, which can only be done effectively in small, interactive groups. While lectures also involve discussion, small-group classes provide a far more focused, participatory environment.

Class Times & Selection

• Lecture times are fixed at 18:30–20:00, but you will have a choice of seminar times and tutorial times.

• On UW USOS, class times may be described as Group 1, Group 2, etc. This does not mean that you need to choose the "Group 1" time for both tutorials and seminars—you can mix-and-match so that it best fits your timetable.

Registration & Attendance

• Registration instructions: We will send you instructions on how to register for your preferred tutorial and seminar times after we meet you in the Introductory Meeting in October.

• Attendance commitment: After you have chosen your tutorial and seminar time, please ensure that you attend your chosen classes. If an important reason exceptionally requires you to attend a different class time in a particular Class Week, please discuss this with us rather than simply attending a class that you are not registered for.

• Semester 2 adjustments: It is possible to change the times of your classes in Semester 2 if your UW WPiA timetable changes.
